The project of house R_01 situated in the countryside of Capo D'Orlando in Messina, stems from a popular pre-existing concrete frame, whose completion would have given birth to yet another typical local cottage constrution. The compositional process is compared with the reinforced concrete frame and has as its purpose the creation of a domestic architecture characterized by an open-space floor plan and intuitive. Voluntarin pillars and beams are hidden in the new design elements. In living the fireplace features space while sleeping area overlooks a courtyard open to the sky, with winter garden. The vein of the building is compact and highly symmetric and takes into account the orientation and visuals on the typical landscape of the area. An external route flush table ends in a recess from which to admire the view. The project was developed in collaboration with Antonio Musarra.
